Professional Experience
Christy is a CPA with a strong background in taxation, auditing, and other financial services. She earned her BS in Business Administration from the University of West Alabama in 2013, followed by her Master’s in Accountancy from California State University, San Bernardino in 2015. She earned her CPA license in 2019 and has since gained a wealth of experience working with diverse clientele and industries.
Christy began her accounting career in 2015 as a senior accountant at an accounting firm in Santa Monica, where she quickly developed a strong foundation in the field. Over the next six years, she advanced to the role of tax supervisor, specializing in financial services, high-net worth individuals, and the entertainment industry.
Throughout her career, Christy has gained extensive experience in tax compliance, assurance and auditing, particularly for financial services clients and Employee Stock Ownership Plans. Additionally, she has provided comprehensive accounting and bookkeeping services, specializing in resolving complex client accounting issues with QuickBooks and implementing effective solutions to ensure accurate and efficient financial reporting. Her expertise allows her to meet the unique needs of each client, delivering reliable and tailored financial strategies.
From 2021 to 2023, Christy had the opportunity to work at two of the Big 4 accounting firms, Ernst & Young and PwC. During this time, she gained valuable experience working with publicly traded, multistate, and international clients, primarily with the insurance and real estate industries. Her role focused on providing auditing and tax provision services for publicly traded insurance companies for both GAAP and Statutory purposes.
Her work history encompasses all aspects of accounting and includes auditing, assurance, and taxation services, providing her with a comprehensive and well-rounded understanding of financial management. She has also worked as a tax consultant in her previous roles, where she provided support on tax accounting matters. She has worked closely with clients in across a wide range of industries, offering tailored tax advisory services to help them navigate complex tax regulations.
Christy has extensive experience with tax compliance for a diverse range of entities, including C and S corporations, LLCs, charitable foundations, and individual returns. Additionally, she has provided comprehensive support for individual tax returns, addressing issues such as deductions, credits, and planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Christy specializes in several key industries, including the insurance industry, commercial real estate, entertainment, and other financial services sectors. She assisted insurance clients with complex regulatory requirements, tax-efficient strategies, and the management of reserve and premium. In commercial real estate, she supported clients with property tax planning, 1031 exchanges, depreciation strategies, and the structuring of real estate transactions. Christy has experience in various other financial services industries, where she has navigated regulatory complexities, tax reporting, and compliance with industry-specific tax laws.

Personal Note
Originally from Guangdong in China, Christy now resides in Diamond Bar. Outside of work, Christy enjoys practicing the art of Chinese calligraphy, cooking, reading, and painting. She also enjoys visiting museums, with her favorite being the New York Museum of Modern Art. A practicing Buddhist, she often visits the Ci-Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights for reflection and meditation.
She loves spending time outdoors with her two dogs—a corgi named Wesley and a rottweiler named Roxy—and frequently takes them on walks and adventures. As an avid traveler, she has visited Alaska, Yellowstone, New York, and Washington, DC, but Hawaii remains her favorite destination. She hopes to explore Australia and New Zealand in the future.
