Professional Experience
Joanna brings a dynamic background in marketing, customer engagement, and brand strategy to her role at RP&B CPAs. With a career that spans marketing, journalism, and customer service, she offers a well-rounded approach to building brand awareness and creating impactful marketing initiatives.
Her career began as a marketing specialist for a small civil engineering firm in Corona, where she assisted with proposal development, website maintenance, and graphic design. After relocating to Oregon in 2012, Joanna spent nearly a decade in the customer service and food management industries, gaining hands-on experience in team leadership, consumer behavior, and operational efficiency—all skills that now shape her strategic marketing approach.
During this time, she also worked as a music journalist for Vortex Music Magazine, which helped her refine her ability to craft compelling narratives and connect with audiences through storytelling. In 2021, Joanna re-entered the marketing field as a social media strategist for a boutique medical marketing agency in Ontario, CA, where she worked with medical practitioners across the U.S. to develop targeted brand messaging and marketing strategies that enhanced their social media presence.
Since joining RP&B CPAs in 2022, Joanna has been drawn to the firm’s approach to work/life balance and its welcoming atmosphere. She now leverages her unique blend of operational insight and creative strategy to develop effective marketing initiatives that strengthen RP&B’s brand presence and foster meaningful connections with clients and industry partners.

Personal Note
Having originally grown up in the Inland Empire, Joanna has spent the past 15 years living all across the West Coast, including nearly a decade in Oregon where she split her time between Portland and Bend. She now considers Seattle to be her home, where she lives with her fiancé and five animals—four cats and a dog.
A lover of the outdoors, Joanna is excited to explore more of the Pacific Northwest’s hidden gems. One of her favorite hikes is Proxy Falls in Central Oregon, and she hopes to one day visit Iceland and Japan, particularly the shrines and temples near Tokyo. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Joanna with her nose in a book, writing, attending concerts, or hiking nearby trails.
