Professional Experience

Kurt joins RP&B’s Tax & Compliance department as a senior accountant. His previous experience includes preparing and reviewing a wide range of tax returns, assisting with financial statement preparation, and supporting clients with compliance and tax planning matters. Kurt has worked extensively with clients in the real estate and medical industries, including private medical practices.

Kurt began his accounting career in 2021 after earning his Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of California, Irvine. Prior to joining RP&B, he worked as a tax associate at Armanino LLP, where he gained hands-on experience preparing a broad range of tax returns and supporting financial reporting projects, with a focus on real estate clients. He later joined Eide Bailly, where he spent over two years building his expertise in tax compliance and client service and eventually becoming a senior accountant.

Before transitioning into accounting, Kurt worked as a social media manager for a video game and esports company, where he developed marketing strategies and managed digital engagement initiatives. His diverse background provides him with a unique perspective on business operations and client communication.

Kurt originally earned his Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Redlands in 2014. He is currently a CPA candidate and plans to pursue his license in the future. Having grown up in a family of CPAs, Kurt developed an early appreciation for the profession and ultimately chose accounting as a career path where he could apply his analytical strengths while building a stable and rewarding career.
